Download Heroes Season 2 for Free

by linathael - 17:17:22 CEST
NBC Universal will sell episodes of Heroes Season 2 via Amazon's Unbox digital-download store, after ending its similar agreement with Apple Inc.'s iTunes.
The price per episode will remain the same as on iTunes Store, $1.99, but Amazon will offer discounts on full seasons, an option Apple would not currently consider or provide on the iTunes Store.
Last but not least, beginning Monday 24th with Heroes, viewers will be able to download the pilots of NBC's new shows from Unbox for free before their television premieres.

SCO: Bankrupt around the Corner

by Lionel - 13:47:25 CEST
Many of our readers will remember SCO as a small UNIX-dedicated company that tried during years to systematically sue other companies distributing UNIX or Linux solutions, arguing they were using part of SCO's intellectual property without owning a license. Its own Linux distributions were not so popular, and only a partial victory against IBM extended the life of SCO. During the summer, SCO lost its legal action against Novel, and even had to buy licenses from Novel. As a consequence, SCO share value went massively down and SCO is now close to bankruptcy. We will not comment further this news.

TV Output for the iPhone

by Lionel - 13:45:53 CEST - Source: Macenstein
in a photo gallery released by Engadget, on can see the following one:

On the left on can see option related to a TV output function only available on the firmware 1.1.1 which is not released yet (see our previous news)
This new firmware will probably debut on November 9th with the first iPhone available in UK. It will bring multilingual support as well as several new functions. It will also most likely block all current SIM unlocking application. So hackers will have to find a new way, and the usual cat and mouse game will be fully initiated.

Carry your Music Library with your iPhone

by Lionel - 13:36:38 CEST
While Apple wanted to control as much as possible application to be installed in the iPhone, there are several ones released everyday. It is becoming a really popular handheld, and the large library of third-party application already available most likely help Apple to sell even more iPhone.
One of those new application which will become very popular is Dot.tunes. It allows you to stream on your iPhone your entire music library available from a Mac or a PC. Even better, it is also possible to stream music not only on a local network but also from any location as long as you can get connected to a Wi-Fi or EDGE network (better free hotspot for your wallet).
Not everything is perfect, and especially the fact that your stream has to go through Dot.tunes servers, putting a question mark on the confidentiality of the data you are streaming.
