As usual during summer, the temperature increases and cooling systems of desktop and notebook computers will be working more frequently than for the rest of the year. It is also a dark period for HD, as they do not like summer, and the failure rate usually rockets up. So, if you intend to keep your data safe, remember to back them up or clone your HD on an external storage unit (FireWire/USB2 or NAS) to have the most recent possible copy of your files in case of HD failure.
