According to rumors, the Warner music major would be negotiating with EMI, for either a acquiring it, or merging their music business. This is not the first time that such rumors are released about those 2 music majors (either merger or take-over).
For consumers, this potential merger between both majors might change the future, as EMI was reported to be ready to released part of its catalog as DRM-free tracks, while Warner was strongly against such idea.
