"It is All Pirates' Fault!"

With time, pirates and P2P users are pointed as the main reason of a failure when a problem arises or a project does not develop as expected. The RIAA and Music Majors claim pirates are the bad guys while one could also consider that they should revise their business plan regarding digital music.
Recently, Steve Ballmer, Microsoft CEO, decided to use the same strategy in front of analysts and share holders to explain the lower than expected sales of Windows Vista. Again, they did not think further, and did not want to investigate about potential reasons behind those poor sale rates of all Vista versions. As a consequence, Microsoft requested all OEMs to have Vista bundled with new hardware from March; on their side they will increase security system to limit the impact of pirated versions. Knowing that most IT reviewers have described Vista has an immature OS, even advising to stay with Windows XP still Vista SP1 is released, and one could also understand why consumers do not run to shops to update their Win OS.
When you have a problem, do think about it; just start blaming the pirates...
