iPhone: Additional Information

Hereafter is some information about the iPhone:
- If Cisco does not request a new extension of the negotiating period with Apple, it ends today, so we should know more about their agreements in a couple of hours.
- Prices of both iPhone models released by Steve Jobs during the Keynote, 499$ for the 4GB model and 599$ for the 8GB model, could be the price for the subscription-free device. When signing up for 2 years with Cingular, iPhone models would then be available for 299$ and 399$ respectively. This information remains a rumor, and one could also question it as such price would cannibalize iPod sales. But maybe it is the goal...
- Quantum Research claims Apple is using some of its patented technologies in the iPhone. This company already sued Apple in the past over patent infringement for the iPod click-wheel. Taking that they never touched an iPhone, one can seriously question their claims, it is probably a way to have its name associated with the iPhone for the internet search engines.
