As with other companies, Apple has setup an Employee Purchase Program (EPP) for the pharmaceutical laboratories Pfizer.

Employees get access to special discount on apple-branded products. It is of course a good way to advertise product for Cupertino in such large corporate.
It is not known if in return, Pfizer has offered an EPP to Apple's employees, especially for the well-known small blue pill...
The website
crazy apple rumors published a Press Release complaining about Linksys and the use of iPhone as well-known rumored product from Apple. They also expect $1.4 billion damages from Linksys. The consortium is reported to include most of the Mac rumor websites (thanks god we are not part of them ;-) ).
(Yes folks, it IS a joke.)
More seriously, this iPhone rumor spreads over the web by some websites, while probably orchestrated by Cupertino, might turn out into a debacle for Apple. They might have to pay to be able to use the name, or they knew that Linksys owned the trademark for iPhone, then they decided for another name already (iCall, iCell, iPodPhone, etc.). For sure Linksys will benefit of this rumored apple product buzz; might be a good lesson for Apple; or Cupertino might surprise us once more and do not release "The iPhone".
Last month we reported that Sharp will produce blue laser diodes.
The company announced to have already started mass production, with a current yield of 150,000 diodes/months, it should reach 500,000 diodes monthly by the end of 2007.
Of course, such production level requires heavy investment, but blue laser diodes are so difficult to find, that the price is of course high.
However, we will still have to wait longer to see the price of BD or HD-DVD burners to drop significantly to become a more standard device for mass market, than a luxurious product as it is still today.
It will also depend on the availability of dual format drives which will be mostly selected by consumers while the battle between BD and HD-DVD has not identified a clear winner.
