Dailytech unveils information related to the future nVidia GPU generation. This new GPU, code name G80, should be branded as nVidia GeForce 8800. The core frequency should reach 575 MHz while the 768 MB (!!) of DDR3 should be clocked at 900 MHz. The memory bandwidth of 384 bits should ensure data speed transfer toping at 86 GB/s.
These are, of course, specifications for the future nVidia GPU flagship, lower clocked G80-based graphic cards will be offered for the main market, as well as the entry level dedicated to OEMs.
Power consumption should reach new records, directly the opposite direction taken by CPU manufacturers.
Those new nVidia GPUs should be launched during the second half of November.
