One would think that Cupertino's quasi-monopoly with the iPod would have it make a gesture towards its competitors. Well... no.
Apple has reportedly forbidden Apple Expo's exhibitors to demonstrate any other portable player. First in line to be affected by this decision is Sony. Hard to understand given that the Japanese giant will once again have a big stand in the exhibition hall.
As a collateral damage, however, journalists will probably not cover the iPod's latest news: in the absence of competing products to compare, this would just be plain advertisement.
