Seagate's president announced the forthcoming availability of 1.8" drives up to 120 GB. If video offerings become more extensive in the next version of the iTunes Music Store, with the arrival of full-length films in particular, not only Apple but also Microsoft, with its next Zune player, are likely to be important customers for this new storage capacity.
At the same time, Hitachi has announced a 3.5" disk for desktops at a capacity of 1 TB which will be available at the end of the year. Until now, Seagate held the record for largest capacity with a 750 GB drive.

Boot Camp Update

A new beta version of Boot Camp has been made available for download from Apple's site.
What's new in version 1.1:
- Support for the latest Intel-based Macintosh computers
- Easier partitioning using presets for popular sizes
- Ability to install Windows XP on any internal disk
- iSight camera support
- Support for built-in microphones
- Right-click when pressing the right-hand Apple key on Apple keyboards
- Improved Apple keyboard support including Delete, PrintScreen, NumLock, and ScrollLock keys
These improvements are welcomed as those with laptops will no longer have the problem of not being able to type ctrl-alt-delete so they can log in to Windows :-)
This update weighs in at 202 Mb because of the additional drivers for the Mac Pro.
