Apple Sanctions the Gossiper

Apple has never allowed its partners to reveal information on future products.
So the company doesn't appreciate that Samsung announced that they have been awarded a contract to provide integrated chips for the iPod.
The punishment for the blunder (at least in Apple's opinion) was severe: Apple decided to remain with SigmaTel, who had lost the contract to Samsung.
Although the loss of this contract is merely a drop in the bucket for a large multinational corporation, it is a slight on its image.
