Asteroid Lawsuite: Apple Loses In Appeal

Yesterday, The State of California Court of Appeals issued its ruling concerning the lawsuit launched by Apple against 3 websites, also known as "Asteroid Lawsuit", and dealing with the release confidential information related to a FireWire Hub.

Apple Computer, Inc. (Apple), a manufacturer of computer hardware and
software, brought this action alleging that persons unknown caused the wrongful
publication on the World Wide Web of Apple’s secret plans to release a device that
would facilitate the creation of digital live sound recordings on Apple computers.

The Court has decided that the three targeted websites (PowerPage.org, AppleInsider.com and ThinkSecret.com) are protected by the First Amendment.
Electronic Frontier Foundation, which was providing defense for the 3 websites , acclaims this justice decision; marking (normally) the end of this story (almost 2 years old).
