iPod: Tempo, Jogging Frequency. Next Pulse?

By linathael. Original by Lionel - 26/05/2006 13:52:18 CEST - Category: Apple - Source: HRMPF
A recent patent application has been filed by Apple in relation to its Nike+iPod Sport Kit, providing details of the possible features available in this Nike iPod shoes. Based on this description, tempo of a music track might be adapted automatically by the iPod to synchronize with jogger running speed.
This might be only one example of the coming features to be codeveloped by Apple and other third-parties.
Apple keeps increasing the market for "made for iPod" logo, increasing royalties-based earnings. The iPod is a real cash machine for Cupertino, and could be the reason why Intel-based computers are priced so low compared to Apple's hardware history.

By linathael. Original by Lionel - 26/05/2006 09:36:37 CEST - Category: Apple - Source: Flickr
Some MacBook users have found a piece of plastic blocking the rear vent of their new purchased machine. As a consequence, MacBook were running very hot, once this piece of plastic was removed, operating temperatures were back to normal.

It seems that this plastic strip is used at some point during assembly to protect part of the case, and might have been forgotten.
So if you have a MacBook, quickly check that the rear vent are free of any piece of plastic.

Airport Express: Macbidouille/Hardmac banned from Apple Forums?!

By linathael. Original by Lionel - 26/05/2006 09:30:57 CEST - Category: Apple
In the past we have already reported the strange policies in Apple Forum leading to censure of many subjects related to defective products or series.
Since 4 days, subjects dealing with defective Airport Express are the new targets of Apple Forum censors, especially if it contains links to macbidouille/hardmac news or to the worldwide investigation we have launched earlier this week.
If this behavior might be pointless, users do not rely only from Apple Forum to get reliable news, it at least proves that Apple is aware of the problem affecting the APX, but does not want to make it public.
Hereafter is the webpage to submit references of your defective APX:
http://www.macbidouille.com/apxdefect.php
Even if we do not talk about it on a daily basis, new reports of defective APX arrive almost everyday. In addition, reports with APX SN starting with HS50 have surfaced, meaning that the APX manufactured in 2005 start dying after the estimated working period of 13-18 months.

Other specs are DVD 12x and CD 8x, rather slow for a high tech burner. In addition this burner will not support BD-R double layer media.
It should arrive in June and its price should be around 799€.
