If the HD-DVD won tthe first battle in the blue laser war by being the first to offer medias and readers, the struggle with Blu-Ray is still far from being won.
Next step will probably take place on the burning sector. And there Blu-Ray seems to be leading with a superior capacity, 25 Go vs. 15 for HD-DVD. Who'll win would be quite obvious, unless the second could offer more quickly dual layer medias.
And CMC could be able to initiate mass production of dual layer media, both recordable and rewritable, of a 30 Go capacity. Of course, we'll still have to see how the Blu-Ray camp will react.
What could decide who'll eventually win this battle, might very well be the winner between the XBox 360 and its external HD-DVD reader and the Playstation 3 and its internal Blu-Ray reader.
