The battle over a "trademark dispute" between Apple Corps, representing Beatles' interests (with its a green Granny Smith logo), and Apple Computer Inc. (with its stylish apple) has ended up today by a decision ruled out by Mr. Justice Edward Mann from London's High Court:
"I find no breach of the trademark agreement has been demonstrated.... The action therefore fails."
"I think that the use of the apple logo is a fair and reasonable use of the mark in connection with the service, which does not go further and unfairly or unreasonably suggest an additional association with the creative works themselves."
It puts a temporary end to the battle between both Apple(s), even though Apple Corps might appeal the case, and maintains its claim that Apple Computer has broken an agreement signed in 1991 and stating that they will not be two "Apple"-branded companies in music business.
So chances of seeing Beatles' albums available on iTMS in the near future remain low; and the battle will probably go on, considering the money involved. As a reminder, in 1991 Apple Computer paid US$26 million to Apple Corps as part of their agreement.

On the website
http://hdtv.o0o.it/mini/, a step-by-step procedure is described to replace the CPU of a Mac Mini Core Duo (or Solo).
In this example, the original CPU is replaced by a Core Duo 2.16GHz, the fastest Yonah CPU currently available.
Unfortunately, there is no information provided regarding the potential increase of the temperature in the Mac Mini or the corresponding cooling system activity.
If you plan to perform such a change, we would recommend to wait till the end of the month: the already announced retail price decrease of the Core Duo.
In a couple of month you might also be able to upgrade the original CPU with a Merom (commercial name will be "Core 2 Duo"); we will present you some unreleased primary tests performed with a Merom-equipped hardware soon; it is worth waiting for this future CPU ;)
MacRumors predicts the release of the MacBook for tomorrow; at the end one of those predictions will turn true...
This time, it seems more reliable since it is based on a link displayed on Apple iPod website where a broken MacBook-dedicated link was displayed :

See you on Tomorrow for the iBook-replacing MacIntel :)
