All over the world, users have started the adventure of Installing XP on MacIntel, following the way initiated by narf2006.
In summary, the procedure is not difficult to be carried out, even though it requires time, methods, and a PC. They are currently only 2 problems remaining: no 3D acceleration for the Radeon X1600 and no control over the fan rotation speed. But "bidouilleurs" are working on those 2 problems and for sure solutions will soon be found. The installation procedure will probably be simpler in the future.
We will carefully follow this project and we will keep you inform regularly.

The battle between the HD-DVD and the Blu-Ray format is far to be finished; but DVD player/burner manufacturers can not wait for the end of the "blue laser DVD war". Strategically, they also can not support one format and not the other; nobody knows which one will be the final winner.
So, most of the future blue laser DVD player will support both formats.
LG has already announced that such multi-format player will be released for Fall 2006. It is probably the only way to attract customers to the future DVD format, especially because the price will be rather high at the beginning.
