- iPhone Getting Closer To Reality? - Lionel - 08:18:43

Source : http://www.dailytech.com

For months, if not years, apparently reputable rumours regarding the Apple iPhone have fueled the web and been one of the most exciting topics for Mac rumours-dedicated websites.

The last piece of information originating from Apple's CFO Peter Oppenheimer have revived the "iPhone flame" in the hearts and minds of many Mac addicts.

During the last financial conference call, a question was asked about competitors for Apple iPods, such as the new Walkman/mobile phones from Sony; and how Cupertino plans to address this new development. The answer is interesting:
"as regards to cell phones, we do not think that the phones that are available today make the best music players. We think the iPod is. But over time, that is likely to change, and we are not sitting around doing nothing"
Of course it does not mean that Apple is working on an iPhone project, but at least they recognize that a device associating a mobile phone and a digital music player is an interesting evolution for the iPod (especially the iPod nano model)
