Xbox 360 : MS faces first legal actions

An US citizen leaving in Chicago has initiated the first legal action against the Xbox 360. He claims that Microsoft has released its new generation game console too early, without performing enough tests to avoid the current problems faced by many users.
According to different sources, the external power supply of the Xbox 360 is the first to blame when the console is used for a long time, the PSU has a tendency to deliver a non stabilized current leading Xbox 360 hardware crashes.

Apple has added an extra piece on the GF 7800GT in order to fix it properly in the PMG5 Quad.
Hereafter is the result obtained by the GF7800GT with Cinebench 2003 test:

To remind you, below is the result obtained by the default GF 6600:

Then the Quadro FX4500:

As we already mentioned it before, the Quadro is performing as well as the GF7800GT while costing 4 times more. It is definitely urgent for Apple to improve the Quadro drivers.

End of AIM compatability for iChat

AOL has developed a brand new instant messaging program. Goodbye AIM, Hello Triton. However all is not rosy, since Triton is not compatible with iChat. This software is completely proprietary, but does not inform the user of that. Because of this, many users are balking at the switch to the new version. That's not the real problem, though, as Le journal du web reports [in French] that AOL is on route to block access to or at least block many features of AIM except from the Triton client.

iTunes Video Store expands

With 3 million downloads from the iTunes Video Store in two months, Steve Jobs it proud to announce a new contract with NBC Universal. There are more than 11 new TV shows which will be available in the iTunes Video Store in the United States.
Let's hope that this success accelerates the negotiations with the European broadcast companies, so that we can also watch the latest episode of "Lost" on the subway...
