As mentioned on Apple website, the recent nVidia graphic card GF 7800GT was described bit not available for ordering or as BTO option so far. Well, now this high-end GPU is available, but only for the US AppleStore. It features a double DVI output, one of them supporting the Apple cinema Display 30".
For the price, it will cost 350$, except if you buy a PMG5 dual core 2GHz (low-end model) then it will be more expensive, 400$. BUT it remains a real good deal for once, since the price of the card as a retail product in PC shops will cost between 350 and 450$!!
So this card is welcome to replace the rather "slow" GF 6600, and as a good alternative for mid-range offer; the FX4500 remaining purely dedicated to professional applications and/or working stations.
This card should appear as a BTO options to all other Apple Stores in a near future.
[update]
Doug has sent us a mail indicating availability in Canada for this card :
The 7800 GT is available at the Apple Store in Canada, too. It adds CAD$420 to the cost of a Quad 2.5GHz.and zzmad told us that the card is also available on the Australian AppleStore from today
