Easier HD DVD-R manufacturing

Verbatim developed, with the help of Hayashibara Biochemical Laboratories and Toshiba, a new substrate specifically designed for the blue laser.
It should ease the production of the HD DVD-R by only changing the product inserted between the two polycarbonate layers on the same production lines than DVDs.
Another substrate has also been developed to reduce the production costs of the BD-R. But it will remain more expensive because of the serious changes to the production tools and the need of a very hard substrate (it should be as resistant as for DVDs but it is six times thinner)
