Music at will for $4.99 per month

By Cri-cri. Original by Lionel - 20/08/2005 21:58:45 CEST - Category: iPod
The insolent leadership of the iTMS leads the competitors to any sacrifice to take the lead in the music on line business.
Yahoo proposes to Americans to get an access to its complete catalog for $4.99 per month.
The subscription is yearly based. Of course, if you cancel it, the songs will not be playable anymore. It is only use on hire.
Remain to know how Yahoo intends to make this service profitable with such rates.

New version for CenterStage

By Cri-cri. Original by Yoc - 20/08/2005 21:38:12 CEST - Category: Software
CenterStage, the most active open-source project to transform your Mac on Media Center has been updated to version 0.4. This is still an alpha version but the video module becomes to be something.
The DVD module has been improved, as well as the EyeTV support. To organise your playlist, you'll have to use BackStage, which has also been updated to 0.4
Be careful, you must be under Tiger to use these two new versions.

Despite the fact that the development is not fast, the project is very promissing. Don't hesitate to have a look on their website if you're interested in the concept : you'll find there all necessary information (especially useful hardware extensions) and their forum is very active.
