Transflash becomes microSD

By linathael. Original by Lionel - 15/07/2005 12:11:59 CEST - Category: Peripheral
Transflash memory cards are developed by SanDisk and should find its way into the future iTMS compatible Motorola mobile phone.
The Transflash memory has been certified by the SD Card Association, then became a standard, and as a consequence its name changes. So from now on, one should call it "micro SD".

Micro SD cards are currently available with 128 or 256MB storage capacity, but should reach 512MB within a couple of weeks before changing to GB scale in 2006.
