BenQ has demoed during the last day of Computex a prototype of a future a CD/DVD/Blu-ray burn which should be available for Q2 2006.
In addition to its main feature: burning Blu-ray single and dual layer at 2x, it will burn DSVD at 12x, double layer DVD at 4x and CD-R at 32x.
No price has been announced for the BW1000. If competitors are not coming out with similar products, then it might be a quite expensive burner at the beginning.

Anandtech has published a test of the brand new ATI GPU for laptop: the Mobility Radeon X800 XT.
Performance level is really high since in some tests it is almost as good as a X850XT or a nVidia GeForce 6800 Ultra.

Let's wait that we get more information from Apple's side regarding future hardware development for the MacIntel models.
