I have seen that you have recently reported the trackpad problem encountered by some PB owners. I am part of the 3rd level IT support in a big company that is entirely equipped with Dell computers (not really original indeed). Recently, several users have reported to us problems with the trackpad of their notebook, and in particular the chaotic behavior of the cursor, rather annoying when you need to work... A temporary workaround consist of covering the trackpad with a layer of scotch tape! and apparently it works. It could be a solution, but we rather advise you to give Apple's engineers a couple of days to evaluate the problem and fix it.
Since I do not have a notebook, I could not test this trick, but maybe one of your readers might try it. I have to make clear, that I do not know at all if the problem encountered with Dell notebooks is similar to the one faced by some PB users; so I can not be responsible of any traces of scotch glue which could stay on the Alu coating of any PB!
