Jon Johansen has one more time generated a trick, and is proposing software available fro download, which will allow you to get connected to the iTMS, buy DRM-free music tracks, without using iTunes.
If the software is currently working only on PC, the sources are available and for sure will quickly be ported to other platforms.

According DVD Jon, on
http://www.corante.com, using this small application will make your music tracks DRM-free, because apparently DRM- are adding at the end of the purchase process by iTunes.
If this turns true, Apple will for sure propose soon an update of iTunes and will modify iTMS/iTunes protocols.
Apple is not the only company facing problem with trackpad on some of its notebook models. Hereafter is a report from HAL1.
I have seen that you have recently reported the trackpad problem encountered by some PB owners. I am part of the 3rd level IT support in a big company that is entirely equipped with Dell computers (not really original indeed). Recently, several users have reported to us problems with the trackpad of their notebook, and in particular the chaotic behavior of the cursor, rather annoying when you need to work... A temporary workaround consist of covering the trackpad with a layer of scotch tape! and apparently it works.
Since I do not have a notebook, I could not test this trick, but maybe one of your readers might try it. I have to make clear, that I do not know at all if the problem encountered with Dell notebooks is similar to the one faced by some PB users; so I can not be responsible of any traces of scotch glue which could stay on the Alu coating of any PB!
It could be a solution, but we rather advise you to give Apple's engineers a couple of days to evaluate the problem and fix it.

The big Open Source projects site is now nearing the 3,000 mark for OS X. Not as impressive as the 22,000 Linux projects, but quite close from the Windows count of 5,300.
Browsing around this site will more often than not make you discover great quality programs, so check it out !
