New ''uncrackable'' optical media protection

Dynamic Media Solutions has just announced its new data copy-protection scheme.
According to them, this protection, which works on both CD and DVD medias for video and data, is uncrackable : it uses complex algorithms paired with a chemical compound present on the media. The chemical reaction of the laser beam hitting that compound (and therefore the data returned to the reading lens) ensures the data read is original. DMS further adds that this scheme will not render the media unreadable, no matter which drive is used to read it.
