It is today that Intego has officially launched its new application, Personal Antispam X3.
As it name defined it, it is a software which will filter your email to avoid/trash all junk-mails.

We have tested it several days. This software is using an screening engine as well as an frequently updated database to detect Spam email. It works with both Mail and Entourage.

iMac G5, better than surprised!

By linathael. Original by Lionel - 01/09/2004 11:08:11 CEST - Category: G5
Some might argue that years after years, Apple had dulled our capacity to be amazed... But yesterday, iMac G5 proved once again that we could still be surprised and impressed. Who would have imagined such a thin and compact machine? The implementation of each component is a masterpiece, obviously benefiting from the development of Xserve. Everything could have been perfect, if Apple, as usual, didn't neglect the video side. Why did they select such a poor card as a Geforce 5200 FX? Ok, the iMac is a standard-user computer, but that's precisely this public who needs a consequent video power, in order to run heavy-loaded games. Doom 3, one of the most expected games yet is about to to arrive on the mac, and if we consider the tests undertaken on PCs, a Geforce 5200 is hardly enough to play in a fluid way with low resolution graphics.
Maybe the imac is not marketed as a gaming machine, what is partly true, but the gaming industry remains one of the main engines of the computing industry. Moreover, there was a demo [Trans: ...of doom 3?] during the Keynote (but on a muscled G5).Once again, for obscure reasons, Apple goes without this selling point. But except this, which is to our eyes its only negative point, iMac G5 is a terribly sexy machine, promised to a great success, outside the boundaries of Mac Users. If Apple manages to deliver it right on time, and with sufficient quantities and qualities, what hasn't been always the case in the recent past.
