Apple will pay royalities to E-Data for iTMS

E-Data company has filed in 1985 a patent related to "System for Reproducing Information in Material Objects as a Point of Sale Location". Based on this broad description and claim, this company is asking money to all companies having online shops or business. Apple has signed an agreement, and will pay royalties, probably to avoid long and complicated justice procedures which will probably cost more.
