Ahhhh.... China.....

One of our contacts living in China went to an Apple Center to purchase a 17" PowerBook. Happy as a clam, he was about to leave the store when one of the salesman runs after him to give him a surprise box as a present.
Once arrived at home, he opens up the box... which contained pirated versions of all the big software titles (Photoshop CS, Indesign, Illustrator, Xpress, iLife, Norton....). "Of Course", the serials were given as well.
Microsoft is now selling in Asia a stripped down edition of Windows XP for a few dozen bucks. Bill Gates is even there to promote the special version's merits... But there's a long road ahead to finally bring down piracy levels in that area of the world.
