I had no time to tell you this before, but since the Festival de Cannes, Nokia has given me its next cell phone, the 7610. That way, I could test it extensively... Its major advantage compared to the other phones is its integrated camera, featuring a 1 million pixels sensor. You'll find a picture taken with it in attachment. Except a little balance of colors to be improved, nothing to say about it, it's a good one. About the synchronization with the Mac, everything is almost fine, Bluetooth transfers are OK in both directions. The 7610 includes Real player and a standard memory card of 32 MB, to stock enough pictures, and even some videos! Cards of different sizes should be available soon. OK, the prototype I have has some bugs when there is too much information in the image of a video, but for a phone, it's pretty reasonable, and the final release should have this small issue fixed. On the other hand, I couldn't synchronize it with Addres Book or Entourgae... The reason is simple, the prototype is recognized as being a 6310i, or a 3950... depending on the day! :) Even with third-part software, it's impossible to realize an automatic synchro. But still, it is possible to transfer vCards of your contacts between the Mac and the phone (and reverse) through Bluetooth. It should be available this month, around the 25th (normaly). It's a nice toy, I like it quite much, though the ergonomy make me thing it has bee created for a lefty, considering the arrangement of the keys on a standard mobile. I don't know the price :-( |
