This info was not so much mentioned but the last update 10.3.4 (Thanks Jean) solves a DV capture problem with some PowerBook. Congratulation to Apple for being so reactive!

[Update] Apparently not all problems are solved... as proven by messages in our forum: http://forum.macbidouille.com
The best way to force Apple to find a solution to this DV capture problem for some PB owners is to write a letter with a reception confirmation claiming a component/material failure. You can argue that you bough a PB with FCP in order to perform video/DV capture, something which should work perfectly with a PB, and in your case does not work; so you can claim your money back...
The best will be if many affected macusers write together to Apple...
