Powerbook and DV capture [Update]

By linathael. Original by Lionel - 30/05/2004 16:11:29 CEST - Category: Mac OS X
This info was not so much mentioned but the last update 10.3.4 (Thanks Jean) solves a DV capture problem with some PowerBook. Congratulation to Apple for being so reactive!
If you want to know more about 10.3.4:

[Update] Apparently not all problems are solved... as proven by messages in our forum: http://forum.macbidouille.com
The best way to force Apple to find a solution to this DV capture problem for some PB owners is to write a letter with a reception confirmation claiming a component/material failure. You can argue that you bough a PB with FCP in order to perform video/DV capture, something which should work perfectly with a PB, and in your case does not work; so you can claim your money back...
The best will be if many affected macusers write together to Apple...

Photoways.com and Mac

By linathael. Original by Lionel - 30/05/2004 15:22:55 CEST - Category: Internet
Hereafter is a short email from Dr Lol

I have just tried a small app to upload photo which was developed by photoways.com and is now available for MacOSX. I am quite happy and satisfied. It is working just fine, the GUI is simple but powerful, and as photos are produced with a high quality process, some photo addict macusers might be interested.
For info, I am not working for this company!!! :-)
