We could have thought that Intel abandoning their Tejas processor line would be a bad thing for them. But it is not so.
The company has just introduced its new processor for notebooks, the Pentium Dothan with its 2MB of L2 cache. It is engraved at 90nm and consumes 24.5W.
According to the first tests, this processor is really good, despite its frequency of ''only'' 2GHz. In fact it is way more powerful than a Pentium 4 at an equal frequency and it dissipates less heat.
