Lite-On wans to be the second biggest DVD burner producer

Lite-On IT aims to become second largest global DVD burner producer in 2004. Quite a challenge.
Last year, Lite-On was ranked fourth, with almost 1 million DVD burner produced. Before Lite-On, we have Hitachi-LG, Pioneer and NEC.
Two factors should help Lite-On to boost its sell in the DVD burner segment:
- Lite-On is going to produce all SONY branded DVD burner.
- Lite-On is now getting quickly access to the latest technology improvements, improving the quality of its DVD burners.
Consumers should be happy, and we should see more and more the price of DVD burners going below the psychological limit of 100€.
