Tomorrow, the European Commission will ask 15 national national advisers if, in their view, Microsoft broke the antitrust legislation. The final decision will be made public on March 24th. If no compromise is to be found with Microsoft until that day, they may have to pay a fine as high as 10% of their turnover. One may wonder then if they'd prefer to open the door to competitors, or lose some part of their colossal profits.
