So, I posted a couple days ago about a really annoying bug where Excel 2008 documents with celles formatted using the € currency get "converted" to $ when you close and reopen them.

Well, I sort of found a cure. A workaround really... Well, two actually.

1) Simply save your document using the .xsl format instead of the default new .xlsx format and the problem goes away. Or,

2) instead of using the Format Cell menu option then choosing Currency and €, simply use the € icon in the formatting toolbar, or use the Financial cell format (that's what the € icon does). It does almost the same as the € "currency" format, simply adding a space between the number and the symbol...

Did you know that, on the iPhone, you can do "mouse over" events in Safari, like on a regular computer?
If a link has an "hover" or "OnMouseOver" property, simply touch and hold the link for a couple seconds and you will see a "tooltip" pop up with the word "Action" in it. Now you can lift your finger and the "hover" action will be triggered.
This is extremely useful for sites like flickr, since you can use the drop-down menus like "You" or for adding people to your contacts...

Left: keep your finger pressed to activate the "hover" action. Right: lift your finger to trigger the action.

Note that, when you do this on a link that has no "hover" properties, it simply shows you the regular link tooltip, that is the "title" or "alt" attribute value.
If the link has both an action and a title/alt associated to it, the tooltip will display both, as can be seen in the screenshot above.
This works both for JavaScript and CSS "hover" actions.
Note: I write "iPhone" because I own one, but there is no reason it shouldn't work on an iPod touch.

Now, if someone knows a trick for doing "drag-and-drop", that would be amazing...
