Cinebench 9.6 Test
This test is equally as interesting, since in addition to measuring the power of the processor in single and multi CPU modes, it also measures the Open GL performance. Now, due to the GMA 950 graphics on the Mac Mini, the majority of this work is not done by the graphics chipset but by the processor.
The Core 2 efficiency here is less noticeable in the CPU tests. It is between 7 and 10%. The performance gain between 2 and 4 Mb of cache is also negligible at 2%.
However, Open GL performance doubles between the Core Solo and the Core 2 T7600.
With its 721 multiple processor rendering score, the Mac mini did just as well as the old and enormous Dual 2.7 GHz PowerMac G5!
