160GB Hitachi 5400rpm: when slower rotation speed means higher performance

Disassembling the MacBook Pro 1/2
To change the HD of our MB Pro, we need to disassemble the notebook, something different than the MB for which it would have taken 5 minutes to perform a HD exchange. If the procedure requires concentration and some skills, it is easier than with the previous PowerBook models.
We have taken several photos to illustrate as much as we can the different steps. Be careful, not all screws are identical, so be organized and store them separately and well labeled to ensure a quick and easy reassembling.
First, switch off your MB Pro, disconnect the power adapter, Ethernet cable, and any other cords connected to the MacBook Pro to prevent damaging the computer, and remove the battery.

Then, using a Phillips size 00 screwdriver, remove 3 screws from the memory door and remove it from the battery bay of your computer to get access to the RAM modules.

The disassembling will start from that point. First remove 4 screws as shown on the top of the photos, as well as 2 screws located of each side of the RAM modules.

Then remove both screws located inside the battery compartment.
Then turn the machine side up, and remove the 10 screws located around the notebook as indicated on the photos.
