A PSP linked to the Mac
Opening the box
It's 8pm now and I finally unpack the beast: it's a Value pack so the PSP ships with a 32MB Memory Stick Duo (wow these things are TINY and they go up to 512MB), a pair of earplugs with a remote (they are WHITE! now that reminds me of something else but what?), a white strap and a black soft case (more like a sheath really), plus the basic battery and power adapter. And a copy of Ridge Racers but that's not the point of this quick review.
Boot the machine and you immediately are AMAZED by the screen! my, it makes my 15" Alubook screen looks like a Macintosh Portable! Even the 20" G5 iMac can't compete (apart in the size department): it is totally gorgeous, it is so shiny and crisp it looks like the graphics are printed on the plastic. The screenshots you will see absolutely do not reflect this quality, especially since there is a lot of moiré effects.
Quickly, the interface is quite nice, with subtle backgrounds that remind
some of the OSX abstract ones (they are supposed to change colour with each
month... ahhh those Japanese!) and that animates sleekly when you change screens.
On to what every Hardmac reader wants to know: Mac connectivity.
