Overview of the Time Capsule V4

No A4 or A5 chip, the board is nearly identical to the one of the previous model.

We haven't found any difference in the configuration of the new model compared to the previous one. It is also running the same firmware 7.5.2 as the other Airport devices.

In the end, there is nothing new except the increased capacity, hence the possibility to have a hard drive of more than 2 TB, which was not possible on the previous models. It is too bad, we were expecting more from that new model, a private cloud, an iTunes server for the Macs connected on the network, or just the cache system for software updates, which is supported by Airport Utility. It will probably be enabled through a firmware update.
