Test 1/3 :
It took us 45 minutes (thanks to our training in such operation) to install this DVD burner into the iBook.
Apple is not willing to support DVD-ROM burner for this iBook model, and have modified the name of the UJ-825 burner installed in the AluBook. Then, the new UJ-825B burner we have just installed into the iBook is not idnetified by the system.

In order to make it compatible with the iApps, we have launched PatchBurn II (http://www.macwelt.de/public/PatchBurn/PatchBurnIIb1en.sit).
After rebooting, the new burner is acknowledged by the the system so as to be functional with the iApps (you do not need to patch it if you only want to use it with Toast).

As you can see, the burner is now recognized by Apple applications, such as iTunes.
