Superdrive 4x in a 12" iBook

After a 2x Superdrive in a 12" iBook, a step further with a 4x Superdrive
Introduction :
Apple with the current AluBook series, recently released (April 19th 2004), has introduced the first DVD burner 4x for portable computer. The model used is a Matshita (Panasonic) UJ-825B.
It burns DVD-R @ 4x
It burns DVD-RW @ 2x
It burns DVD+R/RW @ 2,4x
It burns DVD-RAM @ 2x
It burns CD @ 16x
It burns CD-RW @ 8x
It reads DVD @ 8x
It reads CD @ 24x
and finally it has 2MB of cache.
Our partner Macway has successfully obtained on our request a small shipment of Matshita (Panasonic) UJ-825B.
According to Macway, this burner can be installed in all G4-based Apple notebooks, except the PowerBook G4 Ti originally delivered with a CD reader.
