Changing an iMac's HVT

On an iMac 233, the reference for the original HVT is 6174Z-1003G. I've replaced it by an equivalent HR Diemen HR46176 (around 50 Euros).
For other iMac models, I don't know, but you should find the references directly written on the component.

Above is a photo of the original HVT, once removed from the video card.

Here is a bottom view of the original HVT.
The new HVT doesn't have the 2 pins located on the top left part. They were originally used to improve the fixation of the HVT to the video card.

To reach the HVT, you will have to fully remove the plastic and the metal case in order to get your iMac as shown on the picture above. Remove the metal plate which is covering the video and the main boards.
(I assume you know how to open your iMac, there are plenty of guides for that all over the web)
